Race report: Michigan (Spring ‘06)

Despite the 45 minute rain delay in getting the green flag, the multiple caution flags for rain, and the fact it was eventually cut short by rain, this race was damned exciting. I love the multiple grooves at Michigan. Those folks that run Fontana need to pay a visit to this track to figure out how to fix theirs.

Junior doesn't typically do well at this type of track, but his shit was hooked up today. He hung out in the top 5, top 10 all day long. I didn't care much for the retro paint scheme he was running, but I can understand his desire to run it. It was in honor of his Grandpa Ralph and his Dad (God rest their souls). With a third place finish, Junior is right back up to fourth in points. Junebug is showing the kind of consistency that you need in order to win a championship.

Congratulations to Kasey Kahne and the whole #9 Dodge Dealers, UAW Dodge team on their fourth win of the season.

Next Stop: Sears Point (no, fuck you, I refuse to call it Infineon)

Go #8!!!!

I refuse to say wow, great anymore. Anybody who has a problem with that…fuck you in the neck with a checkered flag!
