My sister-in-law. I will never forget the first time I met her. Very Japanese, and very proper. She tolerated my brother and me’s bullshit. Trust me, that is no easy task. She made sure I was comfortable in her home, and she never ever let me forget I was welcome there.
Recently my lovely sister-in-law was diagnosed with leukemia. Apparently the kind of leukemia she had left her pretty much like a hemophiliac. Michiyo was in a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska and went downhill today. She was bleeding uncontrollably in her brain. The doctor told my brother that there was a really good chance that if she recovered she would be mostly paralyzed, and more likely than not, be a vegetable. I don’t know how he did it, and I don’t know where the strength come from, but he told them to take his wife off of life support. She lasted 7 hours. This amazing woman, mother of three, passed at 8:30pm tonight.
God rest your soul beautiful woman.

Yeah, Billiam I agree, it does suck. I lost my brother 9 years ago and I still miss him. It gets better, but you never get over it, ever. This family has a hard road ahead of them. And my thoughts and love go out to them.

Our prayers will be with you all. As many have expressed it will be a rough road to travel. With Danny I’m sure it will be even tougher. He and Michiyo are still young, and worse yet Danny is left with very young children. His life in the military just became even harder as a single parent. I pray that Danny be given the strength and patients to get through this time ahead of him.

I am so sorry to hear this. You guys didn’t have enough time to prepare for her passing, yet she’s gone. From what I read above, Danny will have a really hard road ahead of him. I’m sure you’ll be there to love and support him and the children.
Damn. I am so sorry about this.

Oh man. Bad things happen to the most wonderful of people. Chin up Danny. In the darkest of hours, light must still shine the next day.
