A life of service

You got up every morning (or every night) and put your uniform on, even when sometimes it was probably the last thing you wanted to do. You’ve gone on tdy’s and remotes that have separated you from your family. I can’t even imagine how bad that sucked. You’ve had to go to some of the worst shitholes in the world. You’ve spilled your blood, and watched your brothers do the same. You’ve kept going even when you thought you couldn’t. For 27 long years (as of today), you have done your part to protect our great nation. To my best friend John, I say happy anniversary, and thank you for protecting our freedoms.

You sir, are a hero.

Love ya man.
