‘I Robot’ was one of the many albums I wore smooth out at my Dad’s place when I was a kid.
It is a testament to how good of a headphone Koss made in the 70’s that I never trashed my Dad’s.

Most folks from my generation know who Dr. Hook was. I’d bet a $20 that none of them have ever heard this song. It was on an album called ‘The Rest of Dr. Hook’. My Dad had this on cassette a hundred years ago and I used to laugh myself silly listening to it. This video sucks, but who cares? I was totally surprised that someone had uploaded it to YouTube.

I must have been about 13 or 14 when this song came out. It kicked ass back then, and I am amazed at how well it holds up 34 years later. Good tune. Definite ‘turn it up’ candidate.

This is a pretty special one to me. Back when Allyssa was 4 or 5 she loved this song. So when I picked her up from daycare on the way home from work, I always tried to make sure it was queued up on the stereo in the truck. We used to sing along to it on the way home. She used to crack me up cause she would give it everything she had, mangled lyrics and all. A more precious thing has never been witnessed.
Allyssa turns 21 today. Happy birthday baby girl! Your Dad loves you.
